“I would like to express my gratitude for the guidance provided during a recent Electric Shock Investigation in Western Australia. When I initially completed the coursework online, I did not anticipate applying the knowledge in a real-world case. However, three months later I was required to put those skills into practice.
The training gave me a clear framework for assessing such incidents, which proved invaluable. My initial assessment suggested the event may have been a static shock, given the very hot and extremely dry conditions in which we operate. Nevertheless, the situation was treated as a potential electric shock, as the safety of my team is always the highest priority.
Following the structured methodology from the course, we conducted comprehensive testing of all equipment and the surrounding structure. All results were within tolerance levels. Based on this evidence, we concluded that the incident was a static discharge rather than an electrical fault.
This experience reinforced the importance of the training and demonstrated its practical application in maintaining workplace safety.”
