Lightning management for mines and quarries builds on from the information gained from the lightning awareness for mining and quarries training course in such a way that it helps to establish a lightning management plan in accordance with standards. The course has precautions, specific risks and legal requirements around surface and underground mine operations including quarries.

The modules in this course are:

• Lightning Management Plans for Mines and Quarries
• Lightning Management for Mines and Quarries – Generic Issues
• Lightning Management for Underground Mines
• Learnings from Mining Lightning Incidents

Trainees must complete on our Lightning – Mining and Quarrying Awareness training course to be able to enroll in this course.

The course takes approx. 1.5 hours to complete. Additionally, completion of this course provides 1.5 hours for your Energy Safe Victoria CPD Skills Development requirements.

You have 30 days to complete this course once enrolled but this can be extended.
