Trainees will need to have first completed the Lightning – Mining and Quarrying Awareness Course before attempting this course.
Lightning management for mines and quarries builds on from the information gained from the lightning awareness for mining and quarries training course in such a way that it helps to establish a lightning management plan in accordance with standards. The course has precautions, specific risks and legal requirements around surface and underground mine operations including quarries.
Trainees must complete on our Lightning – Mining and Quarrying Awareness training course to be able to enrol in this course. The course takes approx. 1.5 hours to complete and has a 30 day time limit but this will be automatically extended if necessary.
